Nicholson, MA, LPC, Personal and Career Counselor
About Gail / My Approach
I
am passionate about helping individuals find a deeper connection with
their life and work life, and have over 20 years experience as a
personal and career counselor, teacher of career and life planning, and
facilitator of groups and workshops. I enjoy working with people
from different backgrounds from all parts of the working world, who want to
bring their authentic self to work.
Known for developing a whole person approach to career counseling, I
provide an in-depth assessment and coaching to help you identify and
begin to explore options that are a good match for you. This
approach can help you define and clarify a more satisfying direction,
because the planning process is based on what really matters to
you. As a personal counselor, I also have an interest in helping
you deal with issues, either internal or external, that are affecting
your progress.
Committed to making the world a better place, I take great joy in
watching my client's goals and dreams come into focus as they deepen
their self-awareness and connect their positive energy with the
community and marketplace.
I received a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch
University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from
Lewis & Clark College. Current member and past president of
the Oregon Career Development Association and member of the Employee
Assistance Program Association, Oregon Counseling Association and the
International Association of Collaborative Professionals. As a
licensed counselor I follow the ethical guidelines set
forth by the Oregon State Board of Licensing for Professional Counselors and
Therapists.
